Music Honoraries Schedule Picnic A joint Phi Beta-Mu Phi Epsi lon-Phi Mu Alpha picnic is sched uled for Sunday, May 18, with all ’ members of these music groups being urged to attend. The picnic site is to be a "choice spot on the banks of the Willamette,” where ; Casual sport clothes will be in order. Transportation is to be furnished by cars leaving the music school at 1 p. m. Arrangements for trans portation, food, and entertainment are being handled by Lucretia Prentiss, Helen Thorburn, and Carl Gutmann. The price will be 60 cents per person. Special guests who will attend are Mr. and Mrs. Donald W. All ton and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Keller. Any others interested are urged to submit their application immediately, R. D. Millican, assis tant professor of business admin istration and journalism, an nounced. The examination will test the applicant’s aptitude for the basic types of advertising. The results of the test will be compiled, in terpreted, and sent to the appli cant. If the results are favorable and the person is available for employ ment, his name will be submitted to the 4A advertising agencies in this area as a potential employee. Part one of the two-part test, requiring eight hours, will be giv en at Multnomah college Satur day, June 7. The second part of the test may be completed by the participants during the following week and submitted by mail. A ny students interested in em ployment in the advertising agency field may apply to take the test, although the number of applica tions accepted is limited: The fee for the examination is $15, payable upon completion of tne first part of the test. Journalism Class Visits Radio Station Students of Professor H. II. Kreighbaum’s elementary journal ism class visited the KUGN radio studios Tuesday in connection with a unit on radio journalism. They were shown through the plant and joth the present studio set-up and the proposed frequency modulation plans were explained to them. The same class toured the Reg ister-Guard offices last month when they were studying news paper management and operation. Naval Reserve Group To Hold Campus Meet All naval reserve personnel and those interested in the naval re serve rogram should attend a meeting this evening in room 101 physical education building at 7 p.m., Earl Boushey, chief of the vet eran’s guidance center, said yester day. The meeting will be a part of Naval Reserve Week, a national ob servance. ASA, ISA Announce (Continued from ptu/e one) In the race for senior class offi cers, the ISA will run Cy Ellingson and Joyce Neidermeir for the one and two spots. Bob Wallace and Kay Schneider have been named candi dates for those positions from the ASA camp. Joe Conroy and Trudi Chernis, both ISA members, will battle wtih Hank Kinsell and Beth Basler, both of the ASA, for the four junior class jobs. The four sophomore class posts will be contested for by ISA's Mike Witchell and Virginia Thompson, and ASA's Jim Wallace and Joanne Frydenlund. Class and ASUO elections will be held May 27.
