Decorations Preview to be Held
For Glee Workers Friday Evening
A special dress rehearsal of Frosh Glee decorations is
planned for McArthur court Friday evening by the Glee com
mittee. This sneak preview is one of the first times that a
special preview has been held the night before the dance. Only
Glee workers are slated for attendance, as the court will be
closed to the student body.
“We are specializing in some unusual effects in lighting for
the dance Saturday night." announced Wes Nicholson, dec
oration chairman. "We want to insure that everv lisrht is
focused properly and diffuses cor
rectly over the floor, an.d a night
preview is the only way to be
sure.
Special Lighting Effects
“Blue and white lights will be
used and since the majority of our
decoration budget is being spent
on lighting we think the results
will be different and attractive,”
Nicholson continued.
The regular routine of lights is
not going to be used at all ac
cording to the present plans of the
committee. They have Howard
Ramey, lighting supervisor of "The
Green Pastures,” planning the
special setup of kliegs.
Instead of having the bandstand
in the customary side-wall posi
tion the decoration committee is
moving the location to the center.
The large stands are being dis
carded for this dance and new 14
inch ones will be used.

Professor Howard's Lawyerlings
Present Plans for Gay Weekend
By BOB WHITKLY
"Long live Queen ‘Crazylegs the First’!”
It's the "Naughty Nighties" for the annual law school week
end theme, and cries of "splendid", "bravo" and “simplv bullv”
greeted genial Gene Conklin when he told the eager student
body that the theme would be based on ‘The1 Naughty Nighties”.
After much debate on the floor, the rotund Carmicheal was
literally swept into his regal office by popular acclaim. After
the final ballots were tallied, Crazvlegs was 'way out in front,
and his court will consist of such beauties as Princess Curlv
Walker, and the "great profile’”
Frank Bosch. Law school Prexy Rex
Cooler and Kermit Smythe will act
as flower girls.
Senator Sobs
In traditional Rose Festival prin
cess style, the senator burst into
tears, and choked with visible emo
tion. The queen immediately
rushed to south Coburg to check on
her julep beds.
Professor Charles G. Howard, af
fectionately called Profes sor
Charles G. Howard by his beloved
students will don the ermine robes
of prime minister for the occasion,
which take place on the law school
