    'Mama' Juvenile Scorns Wig,
Messes Up Own Hair For Role
“Contrary to popular belief, tins
isn't a wig,” said Robert D. Over,
sophomore majoring in drama, as
ho surveyed his topknot of golden
curls, which he wears as the 15
year-old Nels in “I Remember Ma
ma.”
This is how the change is made.
First, Over oils his dark brown
hair, then curls it with a hot iron.
Dry paint is then applied to change
the color to blond. The illusion ol
adolescent youth is completed by
the addition of knickers, black
stockings, high top shoes, and a
bashful manner.
Over, whose parents live in Sa
lem, is a member of the Campbell
club. During the war he served as
range corporal in an antiaircraft
battalion stationed for two years in
the Solomon, Bismarck, and Philip
pine islands.
Churchill to Speak
On British Empire
Randolph Churchill, who will
speak at McArthur court Wednes
day on “The British Empire in
the Modern World,’ was recently
the subject of a critical apprecia
tion written by Robert Boothby,
member of parliament.
Acquainted with him as a child,
Boothby maintains that to think
of Randolph Churchill, is to think
of the word fearless. He has never
been known to be afraid of any
one or anything.
He has never been daunted and
during World War II he lived up
to his maxim that the only way
to get through life was to expect
death at any moment.
Touring on his second nation
wide lecture tour, Churchill re
cently received wide publicity
when he became engaged in a
heated parliamentary debate with
a plumber from Denver, Colorado.
