Groovies' to Hear Jazz Cycle Tonight A program of jazz music dating from the New Orleans era will be played this evening at 6:45 p. m. on the sunporch of Gerlin ger hall. All students interested in this type of music are invited to attend. “Pops” Wind'us and Fred Sa main are in charge of arrange ments. Samain announces that an excellent collection of records have been procured for this first meeting. If students show suf ficient interest, a jazz club may be formed, Samain said. Jazz artists to be featured on the program are: the original Dixieland jazz band, Louis Arm strong, Bix Beiderbecke, Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Eddie - Condon, and many others. The records, described as col lectors items by Windus, have been donated to the program by Ted Hallock.
