Costume Problem Robinson said he was particular ly happy about obtaining the rights to the play because that meant the University of Oregon and Eugene will be able to see what he considers the cream of last season’s Broad way offering. The West Indians fried palm worms in fat, the Brazilians ate ants (probably to get rid of the excess amount there), and roast ed spiders were, considered a del icacy in New Caledonia. Geophagy, or earth-eating, was mentioned in Medical News as be ing widespread. White ant soil, with the nests and ants included, was thought a great treat.
