"Joseph Schuster Rejects 'Glamor Boy Cellist’ Title JK By JUNE GOETZE Joseph Schuster, publicized as the glamor boy of the cello, would rather be known for his perform ances than for his “sparkling” and “flashing” black eyes as some newspapers feature, he said before his concert Wednesday. Although he is left-handed, Schuster plays the cello in the con ventional manner with the bow in his right hand. Schuster said that he had heard much news about Eugene from other concert artists who had played here. “You will have much to live up to,” he remarked. Transportation Difficult Arriving here by train from Pull man, Washington, Schuster was greatly concerned about his plane reservations to Denver, where he will give his next concert. “We’ve been having difficulties with trans portation all along the tour,” he said. One of his recent performances was given at Astoria, where he gave the opening concert in their series, the first to be given there in six years.
