Jobs Offered Students After Commencement Graduating students who are in terested in early employment of a permanent nature should register immediately with Dean Karl W. On thank, director of the graduate placement service in room 6, Friend ly. Representatives from several business firms and national organi zations are expected on the campus next week to interview students for job training and placement. Wayne W. Thompson, director of education for the North American Insurance company, will be on the campus February 7 to interview men who would be interested in en tering the company’s six-month training program, during which the single trainees will receive a salary of $175 and married men $200. .Salary Guaranteed Upon graduation the trainee is guaranteed a salary ranging from $225 to $250 per month for the next six months. Applicants need not be business majors or students of in surance. Especially suitable for women is a scholarship offer of the National Tuberculosis association for univer sity or college graduates to train for positions as executive secretar ies, field secretaries, and health di rectors with the association. Main tenance and travel expenses will be paid to the students at the training center, and they will receive salar ies of $100 monthly during the sev en-week seminar and one to four month practical field training pe riod. Jobs Await Trainees Upon completion of training the trainees will be employed by local branches of the association at be ginning salaries ranging from $1000 to $2000. Both men and women are eligible for these scholarships. Miss Beryl Smith, representative of the National Tuberculosis asso ciation will visit the campus Friday to interview applicants for th§ scholarships. Interested students should arrange early this week for an interview with Miss Smith at the placement office. WSSF Petitions Due Today is the deadline for filing petitions for the members of the administrative committee which will direct the World Student Ser vice fund drive from February 3 to 7. Petitions should be turned in to Tom Hazzard, general chairman of the drive, at Westminster house or Alpha Tau Omega house.
