Term Enrollment Down
In English Department
The number of students regis
tered in the English department for
winter term has decreased since
fall term registration.
In freshman composition courses
the number of students has de
creased from a fall term high, an
average of 27 students per class, to
a winter term average of 24 stu
dents per class. The new number
greatly lessens the teaching load
per instructor this term, thus each
student will receive more individ
ual attention.

Article Is Published
An article written by Dr. Daniel
D. Gage, associate professor of
business administration in the
University of Oregon, appeared in
the December issue of Western Ad
vertiser, a monthly business maga
zine of the 11 western states.
His article, entitled “Kicking
P. R. Around,” expressed the idea
that criticism of the public rela
tions business comes largely from
confusion between the people who
use and the people who are used
by public relations.
Professor Gage is now conduct
ing the University’s new course,
business public relations.
