Assignments are piling up to the point where many will reluctantly be forced to put business ahead of pleasure; you’d think this was a university or some thing. This issue is the last of the fall series. Weary shackrats will be able to take at least a cursory glance at a book for a week or two. To all you bright people who will get 1.5’s and won’t be with us next term . . . don’t think it hasn’t been nice having you. -Players on the University stage are scrambling around in frantic last minute efforts to get located properly. Pi Phi’s cute little de-icer, Sally Mueller will make her last move of this term anyhow, when she heads for the Millrace section. Jim Bocchi, the JVs curly-headed el .capitano will escort her to the Phi Psis Tondelayo dance Sat eve. People are getting engaged like mad around here. Alpha Chi’s Marge Slater announced her en gagement to Ralph Johnson Mon. j eve., and Phi pledge Jean Swain is. going whole hog. She’ll marry S-Nu Bob Phipps Dec. 21st. Theta Becky Fish is now officially ringed by Bob Strayhorn, OSC toff. DZ’s lovely Veda Nichols still has swarms of men hanging on the ropes; SAE’s Don Wells seems to be doing quite well. Kappa’s Lewayne Engwall has a real chummy arrangement with the Theta Chis. She’s dating Dick Cramer Fri. eve, and Bob .'Kings bury Sat (the Sat. eve deal is a double date with the aforemen tioned Dick Cramer and an un named gal completing the four some. Pi Psi Barbara Herr an nounced her engagement to Phi Psi pledge Dick Rinde Wednesday. Hank Steers and Jim Dunndhoo both making the mad dash for the petite Martha Cleveland. Jean Dodson, G-Phoo, happy about the Xmas to be spent with OSC’s Bill Weber (they’ll make the arrangement permanent this spring). “Curly” McEachern and “Knobby” Scofifild giving an Army Navy version of the Souse Amer. Samba . . . Elaine Taylor and Don Schaffer, slow but steady . , . Delt Pinky Person wishing his pledge pin could be planted; Jerry Dostalik is anxious too . . . The not-so-shy Bob Rasmussen will squire the ex citing Julianne Chevrier Sat. eve. . . . Ken Roberts, trying hard in the Iancy Lausman league saving her exuberence for the DU dessert this week; next week the Fijis get a break . . . Apologies Dept.; the Hazel Roake-Dan Did! combo has not broken up yet . . . K-Sig Jim Snyder, back on the trail of De Be Groneman. Arty Dave Stone and bubbly Kan Hinshaw back at it again . . . YWCA to 'Baby-Sit' For Student Mothers The community service,group of the YWCA has announced its in tentions of providing for the care of children of students of the Uni versity while their mothers attend classes next term. According to Dorothy Rasmus sen, chairman of the group, the service will be free of charge. Any one interested in donating their time, or wishing to take advan tage of the offer is to call the YWCA between 9 and 12 Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of next week.
