Morris to Speak
On KOAC Review
The regular Monday night broad
cast presented over KOAC between
8 and 9 p.m., will begin with the
“World in Review” program feat
uring Victor Morris, dean of the
school of business administration,
who will give his interpretation of
Existing situations in the world to
day.
From 8:15 to 8:45 the “Campus
Recital” will present Helen Hud
son, pianist, and Janet Whitfield
Anderson, soprano, both outstand
ing students of the University music
school. Production of these two
shows will be handled by Paul Mar
cotte.
“Family Incomes” will be the top
ic of the “World Symposium” group
from 8:45 until 9 p.m. This regular
program, presented by students
from the school of journalism senior
editing class, will be produced by
John MacDonald.
Westminster to Hold
Group Qiscussions
Westminster house, 1414 Kincaid
street, invites all students to attend
the morning discussion group led
by Dr. Joseph R. Harris, religious
director at Westminster, at which
time chocolate and rolls will be
served. The subject for the discus
sion will be “Question Jesus Put to
Men: ‘Do You Believe That I Can
Do This?’ ”
Also on Sunday's program at
Westminster is an evening forum
from 0:30 to 7:30 led by Mrs. J. D.
Bryant, hostess-director at West

! tion will hold its regular meeting
Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30 at the
YWCA bungalow. It will be in the
form of a fireside with singing and
informal discussions; during which
times cider and doughnuts will be
served.
All Lutheran students and their
friends are invited to come and ac
quaint themselves with this group.
Advanced Work Given
For Degree in Biology
Advanced work leading to the de
gree of Ph.D. was approved for
the department of biology by the
graduate council at its monthly
meeting Wednesday afternoon in
Condon hall.
This is the third science depart
ment that has been approved for
advanced work since science was re
instated at the University in the
fall of 1942. The doctor’s degree in
science was previously offered in
the fields of chemistry and mathe
matics only.
The educational activities office
is in McArthur court.
