To Hold Shindig
The Chamber Music society of
lower 13th street, law school chap
ter, will hold a clambake and dance
Saturday night, October 26 at the
Lane county fairgrounds around 9
p.m., announced Rex Cooler, presi
dent emeritus of the law school stu
dent body, announced Tuesday. All
students of the law may attend.
According to Social Chairman
Marty Conklin, it will be fashion
able to wear blue jeans and vivid
plaid shirts, as the “locus in quo”
will be held in the 4-H club building.
Alva Granquist, madame’s fashion
expert for the society, decreed ging
ham dresses for the women.

Rhodes Meet
Set for Sunday
Potential candidates for the
Rhodes scholarship will meet in the
graduate division upstairs in John
son hall, Sunday October 27 at 2
p.m.
The International Scholarship
committee, composed of Eugene
faculty members, will interview ap
plicants who have filed notice of
recommendation with the graduate
division on or before October 29.
Yates Sets Style Sheet
Ross Yates, assistant editor of
the Oregana, is perfecting the year
book style sheet which will be com
pleted by Saturday. Magazine “up”
style will be used in the 1947 Ore
gana.
