Last Radio Shows
Set for Next Week
The student produced and stu
dent presented radio programs will
terminate for the spring session
Thursday, when the last programs
are presented.
^ Tuesday at 4 p.m. Victor P. Mor
ris, dean of the school of business
administration, will present his last
“World in Review.” The show is
aired over KOAC.
The concert at 4:15 Tuesday, to
be presented by students of the
school of music, will be produced
by Fred Beckwith. “Neighborhood
News,” written by Len Turnbull,
will again feature members of the
senior editing class and will be
produced by Bob Kirkpatrick at
4:45.
“Wherefore Art Thou, Radio?”
will be broadcast at 4 Thursday.
Ted Hallock is producer of the pro
gram.
The classical concert from 4:30
to 4:45 is being produced by Gor
don Halstead. “Ox” Wilson is pro
ducer of the popular music portion
at 4:45. As the final program of
the year, it will feature several j
entertainers heard during the |

room of the University library.
The annual meeting and break
fast of the state association of
University of Oregon women will
be at the Osburn hotel at 8:30 Sat
urday morning. All senior women
and alumnae are invited. Tickets
are 75 cents. Reservations may be
secured by phoning 891.
At 10:30 Saturday morning the
Oregon Alumni association will
hold its semi-annual meeting at
Guild hall in Johnson.
Representatives from many of
the reunion classes will attend the
senior luncheon Saturday noon at
John Straub hall. George W. Dunn,
f former state senator, will repre
sent the Class of ’86.
Virgil B. Johnson, son of the first
president of the University, and
Charles and William McClure, for
whose brother McClure hall was
named, will speak for the Class of
’96, who will celebrate the 50th
anniversary of their graduation.
A graduate of the Class of ’81
may also attend to celebrate the
65th anniversary of her gradua
tion.

The luncheon program will be
broadcast over radio station
KOAC. Ernest Haycox, president
of the Alumni association, will be
master of ceremonies.
A reception for President and
Mrs. Harry K. Newburn will be
held in Alumni hall, Gerlinger, at
4 p.m., Saturday.
Class reunion dinners at Eugene
banquet rooms are scheduled for
6 p.m., Saturday.
Oratorical Contest
The Failing - Beekman - Jewett
contest orations will be delivered
at 8 p.m. Saturday in the music
auditorium. A $100 prize is given
the winner of the contest, which is
open only to seniors.
The University library, the Mur
ray Warner Museum of Oriental
Art, the Prince Campbell memorial
court, the Museum of Natural
History at Condon hall, and the
art school art gallery will be open,
to the public from 3 to 5 Sunday.
The traditional flower and fern
procession for senior women will
be held at the statue of the Pioneer
Mother at 6:30 p.m., Sunday.
