Publicity previously given in this column concerning Westminister’s Kitson Springs' conference was exactly one week premature. Today at 9:30 a.m., friends of Westmin ster leave for their annual two day conference at Kitson Springs. Westminster house will be closed during this time. ’ Dr. Paul B. Means, professor of religion, is currently concentrating on Old Testament interpretations in his regular Bible school Sunday session at Wesley house at 9:45 a.m. A guest speaker, Reverend Ralph Kleen, will speak on “The New Life Movement” at the 6:30 service. Better Homes The “Better Homes” lecture series by Hugh N. McCallum, at the First Christian church, 1166 Oak street, has shown a decided increase of young people at the _^7:30 p.m. service. This week the lecture title is “Reasons for Failure—Before Marriage.” The 11 a.m. service will have the ser mon “The Lord’s Day” by Rev. Mc Callum. “Town and Campus” meets as usual at 6:15 p.m. The Baptist church, 858 High street, holds Bible study for Uni versity groups at 9:45 a.m. The 11 a.m. sermon by Dr. Vance Web ster will be “What To Do With Your Doubts.” The Sunday evening sermon, 7:30 p.m., is entitled “What Are the Gods You Have Made for Yourself?” Education Religion “Education and Religion” will be the subject of the Rev. Mr. Nicholson’s 11 o’clock sermon at the First Congregational church, 490 Thirteenth street. The choir, Avitli lone Lewis as soloist, will ~ sing “Praise to the Lord” by Allit sen. The “College Fireside,” young peoples group under the leadership of Mary Grub, has a picnic supper planned at 7 p.m.—weather per mitting. (Weather man says clear skies.) Major Roscoe Plowman, returned veteran, will mount' altar at the First Evangelical church, 834 Mon roe, Sunday evening at 7:30, when he tells of war experiences with a religious slant. The EYF (Evan gelical Youth Fellowship) will hold their regular meeting at 6:45 p.m. It Giwrcli Notices By Roy Williams The 11 o’clock Sunday morning worship is under the direction of Reverend Charles Fogg. ‘Healing Ministry’ The Lighthouse temple, 1209 Olive street, will hold Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Mr. E. J. Fulton will speak on the topic “The Healing Ministry of Christ’’ at the 11 o’clock service and “Judg ment Past, Present and Future’’ at the 7:30 p.m. service. The Univer sity age group, called “Over comers” will meet at 6:00. Music here is by a church orchestra and choir. The Catholic church 1062 Char nelton street, will hold masses at 6:45, 8:00, 9:15, and 10:30 a.m. Navy Chaplain According to the Rev. Mr. J. L. Sawyer, pastor of the United Lutheran church, a navy chaplain, Paul C. Wharton, will be in Eugene in time to take charge of the Sun day morning service at 11. The Luther league, under the leader ship of Ami Pasjack, will meet at 6:30 p.m. “Dance of Life,” a springtime theme is the topic chosen by Cleoda Dawson, pastor of the Unity church, 1569 Oak street.
