Veterans Told Steps For UO Registration Special intruetions have been issued recently from the dean of Aten's office for veterans who ex pect to register at the University of Oregon for the first time spring term. Veterans who do not have their certificates of eligibility and en titlement and have not made ap plication for them should apply to the U. S. Veterans' administration, Room 115. physical education building in order to secure them. They should apply at the regis trar’s office on the second floor of Johnson hall for admission to the University. After acceptance they may pro ceed with the registration as regu lar students, buying their own books and supplies. Receipts should be saved so that refunds can be made on the purchases. Veterans who have their certifi cates should go to the veterans table in McArthur court on regis tration day, turn in their certifi j cate for a veterans’ card and pro ceed with registration in the usual ! manner. Tuition and related fees will be paid by the government. All necessary books and supplier can be procured from the Co-op after the veterans have filled out their study programs on special forms which are filed with the Co-op. Any item which is required for all students in the course or cur ricula may be purchased under this plan. Recommended or even highly recommended items are not pur chasable, however. If veterans wish to buy more complete or expensive items than the ones required, they must pay the difference. If the veterans do not complete the courses they may be asked to return the items or refund the complete purchase price of the items. Veterans are asked to remember that during the first academic year at the University they- may use any course as a refresher course, indicating noncredit status by an “R” in the grade column of the registration card. Changes to and from “R” registration may be made in the same way as other course changes, with special em phasis given to recommendations of the veterans’ administration. General spring registration will be carried out according to the usual plan, Clifford Constance, as sistant registrar, announces. Registration April Undergraduates who were at the ! University winter term will receive j their registration material at Mc Arthur court April 1, beginning at S a.m. New students who have received their notice of admission will be given the necessary registration data in the basement of Johnson hall on the same day. All other students, including graduate students and those who have not received their notice of admission, must report to the regis trar’s office for this material.
