came in for its share of one of
the navy’s favorite and friendliest
coaches, when*he took over the
athletic leadership of the naval
units of the university of that
state.
After all this traveling all over
the West coast area, Corley re
turned to Oregon immediately upon
his discharge. Now, as soon as the
season’s swimming championship
meet is completed, Coach Corley
will trade in his bathing suit for
a line coach’s uniform, as he is
already busy making plans for
spring football practice with friend
and fellow coach, Tex Oliver.
In personal life, Vaughn Corley
is the proud father of a 12 year
old son, and the husband of “a
typical Kansaser,” Mrs. Bernice
Corley. “Skipper” Corley, the son,
is now in grade school and on the
basketball team. His father says
that he has great hopes for tltS*^

Skipper swims too!
Take a good sense of humor, a

Corley, coach at Oregon, and
above all else, a Texan!
