term.

terest is the engagement of Signe

former army major, who fs now a
senior on the campus. You can’t

ment to Jack Baker with small

a picture of a baker engraved

Two couples are going to ex
change rings Christmas vacation.
December 16 is the date for Gloria
Newell, Tri-Delt, and Sam Broth
ers, who has just received his dis
charge papers from Uncle Sam.
The other couple is Betty Bennett.
Gamma Phi, and Jack Cramer,
Theta Chi.
Don Bozorth Chosen
For Infantry Grid Team
Cpt. Donald Bozorth, president
of the Pi Kappa Alpha house in
1943, was among 40 ex-profession
al .and ej&college .Jpotball players
chosen for the 9$th Infantry divi
sion team in Japan, his mother has
informed the Emerald.
The 40 members of the team
were selected from 150 candidates,
and they are touring Japan now.
Before his division was made a
part of the army of occupation,
Don was stationed in Hawaii for
a year and taught small infantry
weapon technique and was in the
orientation and education office.
According to his mother, Mrs.
Claude A. Bozorth, he hopes to be
able .to return to the University
next fall.
AOPi President Visits
The Alpha Omicron Pi’s enter
tained Mrs. Dorothy Bruniga
Dean, national president of the
AOPi's, over Homecoming week
end. Mrs. Dean arrived Friday,
November 30 and left Monday.
