ACTIVITY
One of the greatest and biggest activities on
the campus, The EMERALD includes many
of the most important student leaders on the
campus. Most student leaders have worked
on the EMERALD at one time or another.
Students on the EMERALD learn about busi
ness and advertising and at the same time are
a part of .the greatest Oregon activity.
OPPORTUNITY
That there is opportunity for the future by
work on the EMERALD is shown by a glance
at the records of graduates who have worked
on the EMERALD. With hardly an exception
gradates who have worked on the EMERALD
are leaders in their business. You’ll find that
they are all doing well in their business. You
too can start on the right foot.
FUN
For meeting nice people and do$ng things
nothing can beat the EMERALD. The
friendly atmosphere and the new friends you
make are tops. Too, there is some compensa
tion for the work besides activity points.
Every year in the late spring the EMERALD
has a big banquet—FREE—to which you will
be invited. Awards and special mention are
made here for good work.

For the best possible college experience we
recommend working on the EMERALD.
Business men and teachers alike say that the
practical experience on the EMERALD is
among the best that can be had. Here you will
learn about an infinite number of things in
cluding the writing and selling of advertising,
layout, office and secretarial work, and other
things.
Experience on the EMERALD business staff will give
valuable recommendation for important positions after
graduation.
