League volleyball champs, Hend
ricks hall, Susan Campbell, Rebec
house, and Highland house will go
into action at 5 p.m. today in Ger
linger in tournament semi-finals.
Monday, Orides, league 5 winner,
will play the winners of league 3,
Rebec, and league 4, Highland. The
championship game is Tuesday be
tween Monday’s winners and the
winners of league 1, Hendricks, and
league 2, Susan Campbell. Wednes
day the all star game will be
played.
By defeating Alpha Xi Delta last
night, Rebec became champions of
league 3. The Alpha Xi’s were
ahead 20 to 14 at the half, but
expert serving by Rebec’s captain,
Phyllis Beyers, helped to overcome
the opponent’s lead in the last few
minutes. The final score was 36
to 34. Grace Edwards was out
standing at the net for Rebec, and
Martha Cool did well in that posi
tion for the Alpha Xi’s.
In the other court in Gerlinger
Wednesday Chi Omega defeated
Della Delta Delta 37 to 28. The
half-time found the Chi O’s leading
20 to 14.

bership meeting and initiation will
meet today at 11 a.m. in the social

members of all student union com
mittees will be held at 4 p.m. Fri
day in room 6, Friendly hall, Gene
Conklin, chairman, announced.
Because of the WAA-sponsored
exchange dinners, the potluck din
ners at Westminster house have
been changed from Wednesdays to
Thursdays from 6 to 7.
Anyone interested in singing in
the Westminster quartet is invited
to come Thursday night at 7:30 to
tryout.

p.m., Thursday, in the men’s lounge

Dr. Morris, dean of the school of
business administration, left for
Portland, Wednesday morning
where lie was scheduled to speak
on Thursday before the U. of O.
mothers at the Neighbors of Wood
craft hall. While in Portland, he
planned to attend the semi-month
ly meeting of the merit system
council on Thursday and the Asso
ciation of Oregon Counties meeting
on Wednesday. He will also meet
with his extension classes on
Thursday evening.
