Espe cially with all the free time one has. Ho hum. How to spend those lonely afternoons and evenings is the question. This is not just a problem of freshmen alone. One of the many resources in this thriving metropolis is a joy ful afternoon on the millrace—in a canoe. Though swimming in the local Mississippi, voluntary or not, is BAD BUSINESS. In fact, if the thought comes to you, you might even take an evening paddle. Why not consult the professor in astron omy as to how the stars will be that night. Just a suggestion. If you have never noticed, the campus is surrounded by scenic beauty. Meaning the countryside. The tall majestic hills covered with lush green vegetation would make a marvelous site of a picnic for groups or individuals, according to your own nature. A suggestion was made for a community sing once a week or month, according' to one’s stamina to listen as well as sing. The whole campus would take part in the art of Polymnia (singing). On any good night, and there is a good chance of one fair night out of seven, the mademoiselles and mou sieures would gather on the lawns behind the Co-op. The girls being in the slight majority, forming three sides of a square, the men forming the fourth side. It was just a suggestion. DANCING EVERY SAT.
