UO Enrollee Tally Rises Student enrollment has increased -v by eight per cent over last year, according to figures released by the registrar’s office this week. A total of 1,770 have registered, in contrast to last year's total of .1,654. This figures includes 1419 women and 380 men. To date, there have been only five civilian withdrawals, and those for health, military, and miscel laneous reasons. The freshman class claims the greatest number of students with 849 enrolled; the sophomores sec ond with 574; and the junior and senior classes are 115 and 156, re spectively. There are 31 students in ^special and auditor classes and 54 graduates. The liberal arts course has the greatest number of stu dents, with a total of 960. Saturday noon, October 7, is the last date of registration, according to C. L. Constance, assistant regis trar.
