    Dr. Moore Elected
To Faculty Board
Dr. E. H. Moore, head of the so
ciology department, was elected
a member of the faculty advisory
council at the faculty meeting
.Wednesday. Dr. Moore succeeds
Acting President Orlando J. Hollis,
who will be ex-officio president of
the advisory council.
: In a report on the exact enroll
ment at the University as of Jan
uary 15, Mr. Hollis stated that there
are now 1668 students of whom 366
are men. At that time last year
there were 2579 students. Men’s

enrolled, 1302 as compared to last
year’s figure of 1174.
Acting President Hollis also an
nounced that a campus calendar
bureau will be conducted in Dean
Onthank’s office as a service to fac
ulty, thereby preventing duplica
tion of important events.
14 Patients Enrolled
On Infirmary Roster
Down again was the infirmary
patient roster, as only 14 civilian
and soldier students, compared to
20 Wednesday, were making use of
facilities there Thursday. Of this
number only three are civilians:
Mary Telles, Dorothy McLane, and
Jerry Bercovitz.
GI patients are: Co. A, William
McKinley, Lawrence Mulvaney,
Charles Bruneau, and Robert Hall;
Co. B, George Reihmer; Co. C, Don
Dixon and Helmer Swensen; Co. D,
James Thayer and William McKe
vitt; and air corps, Michael Sys'o
and Lyle Larson.
Released Thursday were: Saul
Katz, John Cisek, Harold Knight,
Emanuel Plafkin, and Charles Flied
erbaum.
