luimmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimji'MM'iiiiiiiiiiiiMiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii'iiiiiiiiiniiii Phi Theta Rally Held in ‘Heaven’ Following the rally squad across the campus 1 in the first snowball rally of the year, stu dents gathered at Gerlinger hall to see what campus traditions amount to,-according to the Phi Theta Upsilon assembly which was officially known as “Out of This World.” Scene of the play was heaven, with Oregon coeds invading the place to modernize it with Ore gon traditions. Featured also in the program was the heavenly trio of Phi Thetas Flora Kibler, Ruth Van Buskirk, and Margery Pengra. Mistress of ceremonies was the junior honorary’s president, Au drew Holliday. She introduced Sue Sawyer, president of Mortar Board, senior women’s honorary, and Mary McCandless, vice pres ident of Kwama, sophomore wom en’s honorary. Averill, Univer sity commandant, and Captain C. D. Cable also took part in the negotiations. Captain Cable stated that the readjustment of the contract was a routine matter, taking place each semester to work out the problems which have come up. Libe Concert Features Jan Sibelius Classics Another in the recorded con certs at the browsing 100m will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday and will feature the works of Si belius. His violin concerto, Karelia suite, Oceansides, Saf Saf Susa, Swarta Rosor, Swan of Tuonela, Fourth symphony, and, by re quest, Second Symphony will compose the program. The program is to be given by Mrs. Edna Landros, head of the Greek department. Hostesses will be: Mrs. Virgil D. Earl, Mu Phi Epsilon Patroness group; Miss Celeste Campbell and Mrs. Nell Dickson, Mu Phi alum nae; Miss True Morris, library committee; and Miss Jan Settle, president of house librarians’ or ganization. Students specifying preference for the navy will pre sent their scores to naval officer procurement committees for se lection on a regional basis. Those chosen will be sent to college as soon as possible. Training pro grams vary from .12 weeks to over 2 years. No one will be admitted to take the test without presenting an identification form, which is fur nished by the dean of men’s of fice to anyone asking for it. At the present time there are only four quali fied instructors. Any girl who knows she has earned at least 10 hours in fold ing bandages and would like to become an instructor can do so by going to the Red Cross room on the third floor of Gerlinger Saturday morning from 9 to 12, Miss Wicke said. The total output of bandages to date is 325. Although as yet no monthly quota has been set, last year it was 8,000. Miss Wicke, stressing the vital need of the bandages, said that “Over 100 bandages are used in one op eration.’’ Westminster to Present 'Conchies7 in Discussion “C.O. and G.I.
