In order to meet the demand
for instructors in mathematics
and physics for the soldier-stu
dents, many University faculty
members have made a complete
or partial change in the depart
ments in which they are teach
ing. In addition to this new mem
bers have been added to the fac
ulty to fill newly created posi
tions made necessary by the ad
vent of 1000 soldier-students.

Concerts Replace
Artists Series
Although the Greater Artist
Series as such is a thing of the
past for the duration in accord
ance with a decision made by the
educational activities hoard, con
cert attractions on a par with
previously offered artists will be
presented to students this year.
No season tickets will be sold
to townspeople as in the past,
but tickets will be available for
the individual attractions.
Definite information has not
been released on what will be
presented, Educational Activities
Manager Horace Robinson said,
but their audience appeal will be
equal to any offered in the past.
Concerts this year which have
a more limited audience attrac
tion will be presented at the mu
sic building instead of in McAr
thur court, as in the past, Mr.
Robinson said. Students will be
admitted to concerts on their ac
tivities cards.
