Senior ROTC Students Processed at Presidio Orders to report for processing' at the Presidio, Monterey, Cal., were received in August by over 60 members of the University ROTC’s advanced (second-year) class. Col. C. L. Sampson, Univer sity commandant, in announcing the instructions as released from Fort Douglas, Utah, headquarters of the ninth service command, said the men would continue to officers’ training pool at Fort Benning, Ga., from California. Entering active duty with the wank of corporal, the men are 1943 graduates of Oregon. The list includes the following men: Albert R. Allen, Lester E. An derson, Frank E. Baker, Richard W. Eight more advanced ROTC members were later notified from the sarpe headquarters that they are to report at Monterey. They were: Marion D. Cloud, Robert W. Duden, Harold A. Lingle, Hugh B. Muir, Richard A. Ral ston, William F. Rapson, Charles B. Rowe, Jr., and Lon A. Surles. Carl E. Wimberly, Jr., and Jacob Maddox, members of the air corps reserve, will go to Mi ami Beach, Fla., after the pro cessing in California, Dartmouth college is opening a separate department of geogra phy, in recognition of the global character of the war.
