Dustin N. Jameson, class of '41, was commissioned in April from the marine reserve officers class at Quantico, Virginia. Also commissioned a second lieutenant at Quantico, Virginia, Was Robert Lloyd Stephenson. All are ready for assignment to a combat unit or a specialists' school. The naval training center at Pensacola, Florida, commissioned Leon Franklin Oimstead an en sign in the naval reserve and pre sented him with ins wings. At the University he was a varsity nine letter man. .Karl J. Orcutt was recently transferred to the same base for flight training. After completion of training he will be commission ed an ensign in the naval reserve or a second lieutenant in the ma rine corps. Second Lieutenant Byron \V. Mayo has completed his advanced flight training at Corpus Christi, Texas, and is now assigned to a marine corps aircraft squadron for duty. Russell Farl Soper was com missioned au ensign in the naval reserve, August 4, at Corpus Christi, Texas. Frederick Mason DeNeffe was cor: missioned a second lieutenant in ttie army air corps and receiv ed his pilot’s wings at M a r f a Fie d. Texas.
