The film’s chief attraction is Miss Faye, whom press agents claim
lost nine pounds for the opus. Naturally, they don’t say she could
stand to lose about 25. However, 20th ought to be glad to get her
back, as their recent musicomedies have lacked something for the
past year.
Saddened fans who enjoy Kay Kyser, and rumor has it that
there are quite a few of these characters about, even on the college
campuses where they should know better, were ready to start shed
ding er3at.2 tears when Kay was set for army induction. But their
hpppy little hearts are again high, for Doc K. (not of musical
knowledge, but a pharmacy degree from N.C. university) was re
jected, because of arthritis and other things. Kay is now sending
the chilluns back to the cornfields again. Only question: how can
Kyser leap about so if he is practically a walking corpse ?

dramatic scene." Sometimes we wonder whether or not Fiddler
knows Carson.
