Hid ZHG fyatewell By BETTY ANN STEVENS ‘ Well, let's see," mused Betty (Kinky) Kincaid, recently, appointed rallyist, with a brisk rubbing together of palms. In a booth at the College Side, Kinky shook a dark natur ally-curly head and explained about her nickname, “I don’t knew if it’s because of my hair or my name.” A past Kwama, Betty Coed, and now a member of Phi Theta Upsilon, junior women's service honorary, she stayed, out for almost a year working, thereby retaining her sophomore stand ing, “but once initiated in Phi Theta, always a Phi Theta." ERC Gal Kinky was “one of three chair men’' on the ERC send-off rally Tuesday night. “No, I didn't kiss the boys goodbye,” she smiled. “I've gone with a fellow f rom home in til; navy air corps for six years." She observed, with a nod, "You get to know people, too." With her ready smile, she ver ified a statement that “I like to meet people and get to know them.” Glancing at the paper cn which her interview was being scrib bled, she giggled, “Just say I cough gaily over your jokes." The Nickel Hop will afford one last chance f,cr girls to dance with a selection of partners as well as to wear down more than a little shoe leather. Sally Spies and Lois Winsley, co-chairmen of the hop, expect plenty of competition between women’s houses as well as men’s living organizations, cne of the latter which will be crowned with the coveted title of ‘‘Den of the Wolves.” Fifteen freshman women with a GPA of 3.5 or over—were hon ored Tuesday night at dinner at the Kappa house by Phi Theta Upsilon. I want to go into production illustration. It's a very new field. It seemed to be RAIN, splashing on their programs, their new spring bonnets, and down their necks. All this dampness was coming through a ventilator which was directly above them, and when one of the rained-on trio reached for her umbrella, the whole row burst into the giggles. * * * Add Oddities: Seven hopeful characters clambering over the Pioneer Mother in frantic search for pennies one noon. Apparently they were on their way to a class and, being a little early, stopped to see if they could pick up a few shekels on the way. . . . * s * Critical Note: Heard at Dore they Maynor's concert: The wo men two rows over and three seats back decided they didn't care for the singer because she “didn't make the rafters ring.’’ No small feat in the Igloo, to get those rafters ringing away like bells. . . .
