He will play an ole Italian sonata in G major by Cia ia, arranged by the modernist, Be la Bartok, and the Rhapsody ir G minor by Brahms. Playing Wednesday night in the student series are Clarine Shem well, pianist, Elizabeth Walker violinist, and Marjorie Pengra soprano. The concert will start a( 7:30. Miss Shemwell will play) the Waltz in C sharp by Chopin, “Ber ceuse” by Chopin, and “A.D. 1620’ by Macdowell. Miss Walker will play Bach’s Fugue in A minor, which is un accompanied. Miss Pengra will sing a Shake spearean program, featuring “Or pheus and His Lute,” by Sullivan, “She Never Told Her Love” by Haydn, and “Should He Upbraid,” by H. R. Bishop. She will be ac companied by Betty Jean Taylor. CAMPUS CALENDAR Order of the “O” members will meet Wednesday noon at the Pi Kappa Alpha house. Communion services will be held for Episcopal students at the Uni versity, Wednesday morning at 7 in the men’s lounge, Gerlinger hall. YWCA cabinet members will meet in the “Y” bungalow at 4 today for their regular meeting. A potlu.ck dinner will follow the discussion of the activities plan ned for the term. All meetings in Gerlinger hall this term must be scheduled with Mrs. Edith Siefert, hostess in Ger linger hall. Meetings held regular ly in the past must also be re scheduled for the new term. The campus Christian Science organization will meet every Tuesday evening at 7:30 on the third floor of Gerlinger hall. All those interested are invited to at tend. The women’s life saving class, scheduled Tuesdays and Thurs days from 3 to 4:30 p.m., is open to under and upper classmen, with credit given for the course. Stud ents may register in the physical education office, Gerlinger hall, any time this week. The architecture club will con tinue to hold informal discussions each Wednesday evening at the home of Prof. W. R. B. Willcox, at 746 Mill Race drive. Wheat seeds from the Univer sity of California were flown to Russia in a recent project to re plant scorced earth. Record Fix Due All new students, and any ones who have not previously done so, will be photographed this aft ernoon in Johnson hall for per manent record cards. Students have already received notices concerning these pictures and are asked to be prompt for their appointments. Pictures will be taken in Room 3 of Johnson hall between 1 and 5 p.m. today.
