late” theme. Seniors, directed by
Barbara Hampson, portray activ
ity women fifty years from now.
The USO, and something about
old maids gettilig dates was all

freshman skit, junder the chair

The activity 'skit, motivated by
Mary-Ellen Smith, remains

having to do with movie stars on
a bond sale tour, written ,by Mrs,
Kenneth Shumaker and Mrs,

featured in special assemblies at
Eugene and University high
schools, advertising the Capers,
and inviting all high school girls
to attend.
Scholarship Funds
Proceeds of the event benefit
two scholarship funds, a soldiers’
scholarship, which will help Ore
gon students who had to leave
school for the war to return and
finish their education, and the
regular AWS scholarship, bene
fiting a worthy girl.
Participating in a round-table
discussion over KOAC Thursday
evening, Florence Cooley, finan
cial chairman, Janet Ross, and
Marge Dibble answered pertinent
questions concerning the Capers.
The Pi Phi trio sang the official
Capers song, “The Swing Shifts
to Women.” Next Tuesday eve
ning, over KORE, a re-broadcast
will be given.
Rehearsals will be held Monday
evening at 8 p.m. in Gerlinger,
with the dress rehearsal sched
uled for 7:30, the following eve
ning.
