Senior Christian En deavor group meets at 6:15. ‘Doctrine of Atonement” The First Church of Christ, Scientist, holds Sunday services at 1.1 a.m. and 8 p.m. This Sun day's topic- is ‘'The Doctrine of Atonement." Anyone who is in terested in joining the corps can receive his physical at this time, according to Lieutenant R. G. Davis, recruiting officer for the enlisted reserve corps. Those re leased were Jack Steele, Verne Sellin, Jeaneth Peterson, Jane Baker, Joe Miller, and Maxine Marsh. Mary Jane Terry, Ted Odland, Wallace Clark, Bob Faw, and Ed Murphy are still confined in their beds at the infirmary. An average coed spends 1170 hours or 49 days before a mir ror during her four years at col lege.—Utah Chronicle. UO Professor Directs Recreation Program Miss Florence D. Alden, pro fessor of physics at the Univer sity, has taken over the direction of the Eugene recreation pro gram in addition to her work on the campus. She replaces Mr. Thomas Fisher, who has gone into service. Miss Alden is organizing play ground work for the elementary schools and Saturday classes in gymnasium and shop work for school children. Also scheduled for this year are adult recreation classes for men, which will be held in the men’s gymnasium on the Univer sity campus and classes for wom en, which will be' held in tb|| women’s gymnasium. Touch football will be practiced by the Industrial league at the civic stadium Monday evening. Later in the year basketball will be played in the junior high schools.
