Men, Women Plan Rushing Activities Women#s Rush: A “new deal” swept the Pan hellenic office and1 rushing rules this year to iron away wrinkles and perplexities of previous rush ing seasons, according to a re port from the dean of women’s office. Main changes in women’s fall term rushing are: 1. The rushing period will be shortened one day—Thursday through Tuesday, September 17 to 22. 2. The usual preference night dinner will be abolished. 3. A new system of preferen tial bidding will be installed. 4. Added daily date, tea, 4 to 5 o’clock. With the abolishment of the traditional preference dinner which proved in the past merely a repetition of the activities of the pledge banquet, Panhellenc officers and Mrs. Marjorie Rey nolds, Panhellenic secretary, felt that the rushing period could be shortened by one day. Under the new preferential bid ding, sororities will turn into of ficials at Gerlinger two lists by 11 o’clock Monday evening. The first list will be first preference girls. The second will list in order the alternates. On the same evenng the would be Greeks will list in order of their preference the sororities they are interested in. Rushees may call for their bids Tuesday morning between 9 and 11 o’clock and go immediate ly to the house of their choice. Campus clothes are “the” thing for the newly-added after noon tea date.
