Accelerated*
Accelerated has new been added to the name of the civil
ian pilot training program, it was announced by J. C. Stovall,
CPT coordinator. Beginning with the summer program, which
will start between June 15 and July 1, a new class will enter
each 8 weeks, according to the present plan.
Applications are still being accepted for those who wish

quirements include all men be
tween 18 and 26.

Sigma Hall Awarded
Cooperative Cup
Th cup awarded each year to
the men’s hall found to be most
cooperative during the year was
given to Sigma hall at a ban
quet in John Straub Memorial
last night.
Two scholarship cups were pre
sented at the banquet, one going
to Susan Campbell, the other to
Sigma. Other cups awarded went
to Alpha hall for athletics, Zeta
hall for basketball and to
Sherry Ross for softball.
Cups were awarded by Mrs.
Genevieve Tumipseed, director of
dormitories.
F. V. Cahill, instructor in po
litical science, spoke on the in
creasing trend toward more gov
ernmental control and the subse
quent necessity for an adjustment
to be made by college people.
Sunset Vespers
Next Sunday young Westmin
ster students are holding a sunset
vesper service, instead of the
usual forum. Students will leave
Westminster house at 7:45, and
go to the top of Columbia heights.
The service will close at 8:30,
when the sun goes down.
