Little things like a radiant smile, a dash of color, and a
fresh, well-groomed look can add up to a very important thing
—something called a boost to morale.

Brighter stripes or cool pastel
colors keynote the passing pa
rade of spring pajamas.
The latest—a one-piece crea
tion with no zippers or buttons—
seems to have been originated
with an eye toward the conser
vation of raw materials. The out
fit is made of pin-striped pink or
blue cotton cloth, which is tied
at the ankles and wrists and
pulled in at the waist by elastic,
to give an Arabian effect.
Another wrinkle in the fashion
parade puts midriff pajamas in
the spotlight again. This style
comes in a variety of materials
including satin and nylon and
should appeal to coeds with a
hidden desire for the exciting.
And then the Dr. Dennim pa
jamas featuring soft shades of
blue or pink are most appropriate
for the cooler evenings. The long
legs with feet in them have a
distinct advantage on sleeping
porches where quiet is a neces
sity.
A simple round sequin collar
ly seen on the campus and which
seem destined for popularity are
the bright Hawaiian prints on a
light background. The most tail
ored in downtown shops are the
tiny red and white or black and
white checks sporting red or
black piping.
Nightgowns are in a definite
minority but seem to be gaining
some ground over the traditional
pajama-backers. Nightg'ow n
styles although numerous are
more conservative, the most radi
cal being made like “grandmoth
er’s” out of attractive prints.
