Studying More
Architecture and allied arts
students are evidently studying
harder this year than they did in
1940-41, according to Mabel A.
Houck, librarian of the architec
ture and allied arts school library.
Although exact figures are not
available at present there is no
doubt that there is a large in
crease over last year’s circulation.
There are approximately 3000
books and bound magazines in the
art school’s collection. Last year
the total circulation of these was
3213 books, 593 magazines, 296
pamphlets, 1584 pictures, and
3087 slides.
Last year’s circulation of books
was far below normal for the art
library. Figures from 1939-40 are
more representative of most
year’s circulation, Mrs. Houck
said.
