The Argentine Not Romantic To Gaegon Lass /Continued from poor one) As for colleges in South Am erica she states, “They are very different from United States schools. They have very few girl students, and no social life. The colleges are not grouped together as they are here.’’ With a typical gesture of both hands she demonstrated until the words came to her. “You know, 4ftey don’t have science, liberal arts, and business administration all under one university. Each is a eparate-school.” South Amer ican colieges have no campuses, either, and the students do not live at school, but in rooming houses about town. Shirley loves to dance, especial ly rhumbas and tangos. “When you go to a dance in Buenos Aires, there are three kinds of orchestras playing, a rhumba or chestra, a tango orchestra, and an American swing band made up usually of Argentines. They try hard to get the American gfegthm,” she finished, “and when you’re there it seems pretty good because you have nothing better to compare it with.” She laughed in her friendly manner, eyes squinted nearly shut iu amusement, at the question of how Oregon boys ’compare to South Americans. “Oh, I like them! But, boys are boys the world over, aren’t they?” Toys, Tree to Sparkle At Annua!
