Returning Alums Find Weekend of Activities It’s a big weekend for Oregon’s returning alums, with something doing every minute for the busy vistors. Heading the list of events, of course, is the annual Oregon-Oregon State classic in Hayward field at 2 p.m., while the Homecomers’ second big "must” is the Homecoming dance in McArthur court at 9 tonight. Today’s leading alumni activ ity is the semi-annual meeting of the University of Oregon Alumni association at 10:30 a.m. in John son hall, the administration building. New officers will be elected and Dr. Donald M. Erb, University president, will report on the institution's progress. Directors of the Alumni asso ciation will reconvene today at 9 a.m. in Johnson hall to continue their meeting at 2 p.m. yesterday. Alums will "get together” inform ally at the Eugene armory, Sev enth and Oak, after the Duck Beaver clash this afternoon. The men’s and women’s living organizations registering the largest percentage of alums in relation to the number of mem bers in the house will receive cups at the Homecoming dance tonight from Russ Hudson, Home coming chairman. The visitors will be met at the noon train by members of Kwa ma, sophomore women’s service honorary. Automobiles, three from each living organization, and buses will take the alums to Jo*hnson. Hope Hughes, Homecoming hostess; Lou Torgeson, ASUO president; Bette Morfitt, ASUO secretary; George “Porky” An drews, Interfraternity council prexy; Janet Farnham, hospital ity committee chairman, and the Homeocming hospitality commit tee will greet and welcome alum ni in Johnson and will assist with registration. Order of the “O” men will have a luncheon meeting today at noon. At 1:50 the lettermen’s annual parade onto Hayward field will begin. Alums will be feted tonight at dinners in campus living organi zations. Of special interest to the old students will be the exhibits now displayed in Johnson hall by the : ehools of business administra tion, education, science, physical education, and journalism, the li brary, and University administra tion. Figures on yesterday’s alumni registration were not available as complete tabulations have not yet been completed. Many alums went to dowmtown hotels without registering first in Johnson hall. Miss Hughes, Oregon’s first Homecoming hostess and chief “hello” girl, will be introduced at the Homecoming dance tonight.
