DRUGS
By BARBARA LAMB
It’s a woman's world . . . and
they’ll all be at the big- sale of
lost and found articles at the
AWS auction today.
Mary Louise Vincent, head of
the sale, reveals that a great va
riety of goods will be put up on
tl|e auctioneer’s block at that
time . . . Rohda Harkson has her
eye on some sweaters for the
Kwamas to weave into rugs . . .
Marge Curtis states that she is
going to bid for some eversharp
pencils that won't wear out on
her reporting beat.
Rumors have come to this col
yum that Nancy Riesch and
Marge Dibble are deeply wound
ed .. . because they weren’t asked
to be the auctioneers . . . mighty
gavel wielders, 'those two. . . .
Oh, yes, a flash from campus
social chairman, Carolyn Holmes,
gives the info that the correct
dress for the auction is a coat
with many large pockets ... to
carry home purchases.
AWS president, Elizabeth
“Steedie" Steed, invites all to
the sale . . . and in the same
breath thanks the campus coeds
for the coed capers spirit . . .
Adele Canada and Babs DuPuy
did a swell job.
The sophomore gals under the
direction of Kwama Janet Ross
have decided they will form a
women's ROTC unit after the
success they achieved with their
prize winning class skit at the
Capers . . . The Three C's . . .
And Maxine Hansen found a let
terman’s sweater that fit her
perfectly . . . thanks, fellows.
Oh, yes, it's a woman’s world.

Clothes for Homecoming are
tops in the college lassies’
thoughts with the busy weekend
of super dates, the game, Home
coming dance, coke dates, and
the noisy excitement of the big
game rally.
What to wear? For an extra
deluxe sweater combination, how
about those dreamy Angora slip
ons in luscious pastel shades? Or
if you prefer to dress with heels,
try a sport}' red number com
plete with swingaroo skirt and
short military sleeves.
Furs for the kickoff? Whether
it’s coats or suits, a pair of white
rabbit mittens with colorful suede
palms will add that Betty Coed
touch to any costume.
Date fetcher for the Home
coming dance is a suit dress of
Kelly green wool-jersey with lug
gage brown accessories. Right up
to the minute in latest fashions
will be girls sporting the new ul
tra smart white wools. Practical,
or not, they will ring the boll for
style.
