Rhinesmith, au tomobile registration officer, who recently was requested by the enforcement committee to im pound cars not fully registered. All students who drive cars are not aware of campus regulations, said Mr. Rhinesmith, who sub mitted the following list com piled by the state board of edu cation : Rules 1. All motor vehicles in the possession or control of students must be registered immediately with the enforcement officer who Will issue a sticker which must at all times be attached to the windshield. 2. No student may drive a mo tor vehicle, either his own. or that >f another person, unless said tudent shall have registered him elf at the automobile office. Report 3. Every acquisition, change of rttat or change of license num ler of a motor vehicle must be eported immediately to the au omobile office and a new sticker btained and placed on the wind hield. 4. All state and city traffic reg ilations must be observed at all imes. 5. Permission to drive a mo or vehicle will be withdrawn in (very case where it plays a det i mental part in a student’s scholarship, conduct, social life, br general welfare. Forty Maps Received According to Hugo Devries, map room librarian, about 40 to pographic maps were received this week from the United States geological survey in Washington, D. C. " = UO Receives Annual Funds This University and the five other institutions of higher learn ing in Oregon will receive only 62.8 per cent maintenance funds coming from direct appropria tion of the legislature, according to Willard L. Marks, president of the state board of higher educa tion. This statement was made in the annual budget which has just been compiled in final form. Income derived from the ap propriated funds of the state de creased 3.3 per cent during the past decade while enrollment in creased 22.9 per cent for the same period,” President Marks stated.
