Has Everything You Need Ask Their Advice )'houe 260 060 IIi«rh St. Dance to Have Holiday Theme Plans are now being developed for Scabbard and Blade’s military ball, which will take place Feb ruary 21, Ed Wheeler, chairman of the dance, announced last night. Earl consideration of ideas for the ball is being made so that plans can be completed and or ganization outlined in order to make the dance run smoothly. The military ball, which has just been made a major campus dance, will have a George Wash ington theme this year and here after, Wheeler said. The dance will always occur on or near Washington’s birthday, he de clared. Mu Phi Epsilon Elects Officers Mrs. Gladys Ingham has been elected president of Mu Phi Epsi lon, upper division women’s mu sic honorary. She was elected to fill the post left vacant when Eleanor Collier, elected to the presidency last year, did not re turn to school this fall. Mrs. Lavina Honey was elected vice-president to fill the position left vacant by Joanne Riesch, who will be inactive this year. Other officers were: Jane Young, recording secretary; Re becca Anderson, corresponding secretary and publicity chairman; Mrs. Donald Young, warden and historian; Mary Kay Crumbaker, treasurer; Pauline Pengra, chap lain; and Lolita Pierson, chorister and program chairman. Magazine Publishes Dr. Lussky's Article Dr. George F. Lussky, head of the German department has a leading article in Modern Lan guage Forum. The article, “Pro nouns of Address in Faust” is running serially in several issues of the magazine. Artists to Dance A no-date, sport dance for art majors only will be held in the little art gallery from 3 to 5 this afternoon with music from rec ords brought by members of the art school. This is the first dance given by the art school this term, but if it proves popular with the students, such affairs will be held every two weeks throughout the year. In charge of the dance are Woodrow T. Ichihashi, Marian Marks, and Jon Kemp. Speaking for Club Dr. Calvin Crumbaker, profes sor of economics, will speak be fore a luncheon meeting of the City club of Portland today. His subject will be “Zooming Prices,’’ in which he will discuss the con trol of inflation. Miss Anderson, a junior phys ical education major, is one of this year’s five candidates for a majorette position. Emory university was the first college for men in Georgia to of fer training for journalism. Law School Teachers Plan Student Smoker The law school faculty will sponsor a smoker October 28 in Gerlinger hall. The purpose 'ST'to get the new crop of “barrister babies” acquainted with the rest of the law school student body and faculty. Various forms of en tertainment including a bit of magic by Marvin A.
