But remem ber, they do want to know “you” .... so don’t try to copy your impression of a coed. Be yourself. After three weeks of steady shopping, rushees invariably look at their first date card and cry “What shall I wear?” Most of the clothes headaches are doctored up in Panhellenic’s little pamphlet, "Sororities and You,” and it urges rushees to dress simply. Except for the opening tea, hats and gloves are optional and may remain in the closet. At lunch time, be comfortable in low heels, anklets, a skirt and sweater, or your new wool dress. For dinner dates, it’s “heels” and short silks (which means any thing from velvet to silk). As you ring the front door bell and set your smile to face two score hostesses, murmur this little secret to yourself: “They’re trying to impress me just as hard as I’m trying to impress them.” To Ship Your Baggage 4 to School r have % McCRACKEN BROTHERS Motor Freight • Careful Handling • Speedy Transportation • Pick-up Delivery Service • Full Insurance % Portland Phone ....
