Junior Weekend Royalty Sketches Regals fora Weekend Presented 1 o Their Collegiate Kingdom Queen Annabelle Dow White organza in full-skirted princess style with eyelet em broidery at the waistline and lace inset ballon sleeves will set off Annabelle Dow’s dark radiance Friday night when the queen’s coronet is placed on her shining brown curls. Her brown eyes lustrous with happiness, Queen Annabelle I will rule over the canoe fete in white satin with an elaborate colored inset at the neck and a drape in variegated shades of purple and lavender around the hips. Her majesty is 5 feet 6, 20 years old, and weighs 120 pounds. She will be escorted to the Junior Prom by Prime Minister Cullen Murphy and boy friend A1 Silver nail. <■ Princess Helen Angeil A statuesque t i t i a n - haired beauty is Helen Angeil, whose friendly blue eyes and gracious ways make her a truly* regal member of the Junior Weekend court. The tall and lovely 20-year-old princess is from Fossil. She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 127 pounds. Like Princess Bar bara Neu, Helen will don an orchid organza frock for daytime events and a purple skirt and white full-sleeved blouse for even ing affairs. Jeff Kitchen will be Princess Helen’s escort to the Junior Prom and other weekend festivities. Princess Barbara Todd This year’s Junior Weekend court is graced by two beauteous Barbaras, both of equal loveli ness and equal height—5 feet 6 inches—but there the similarity ceases. Barbara Todd is a dark brun ette, a brown-haired, brown-eyed, and olive-skinned — the outdoor type. This 20-year-old princess will wear green organza to in formal daytime functions and a fr gold-skirted frock to evening affairs. Although she is from Palo Alto, Barbara “doesn’t mind Ore gon rain at all—except on Junior Weekend.” "Porky” Andrews, Webfoot basketball captain, will be Princess Barbara’s dancing partner Friday evening. Princess Barbara Neu In her orchid organza frock with its brightly painted bolero, a purple turban resting lightly on her smooth fair locks, sophis ticated Barbara Neu will look through laughing gray eyes at Oregon’s Junior Weekend festiv ities. Winsome Barbara is a native Portlander and has lived there all her life. She is 20 years old and 5 feet 6 inches tall, and is the Junior Weekend court’s only blonde. Princess Barbara’s Junior Weekend escort will be Norm Foster. Princess Jean Burt Smallest and youngest Junior Weekend princess is dainty Jean Burt, who is 19 years old, five feet five inches tall, and weighs 116 pounds. “Friendly femininity” are the words for Je^n. Crinkly blue eyes, curly light brown hair, and a winning smile will make her truly charming in her apple green or ganza daytime costume and her gold evening frock. Princess Jean lives in Eugene. She will dance at the Junior Prom with Jim Carney. Detling Collects To collect plants for the her barium in Condon hall, Dr. Leroy Detling, assistant botany profes sor, was in southern Oregon, in the Rogue and Illinois river val leys, last weekend. Starting at the Chi Psi lodge, the ASUO rally committee led the University band on a campus round gathering up students to climax in the hour's entertain ment of song and impromptu stunts. Gene Brown, Weekend general chairman, explained that it was the hopes of the junior class that the rallies would be incorporated in future years as a regular part of Junior Weekend events.
