We mean, you come in wher he's going out, and he comes ir when your going out, so you just sort of pass him on the doorstep as it were. Now this weekend, yoi can see a LOT of him. His Idea of Fun Doubtless, his idea of fun will NOT be to perch in any local tav ern and inhale cokes and cigar ettes over card games by the hour so you will have to exercise a lit tle brain-work in order to give him a good time. The most obvious course is tc take in all the items planned by the campus committees to take care of any parent’s spare hours. “The Taming of the Shrew,” bas ketball, THK gates, and banquets and things can all be on your list. Do be an angel and let him stay away from the art museum and li brary, especially if he's seen them before. Try not to be so hackneyed as to trot him about, waving youi grimy little paw at Distinguishing Landmarks and Famed Bits of Scenery. Take him, instead, to all your pet eating places, see that he meets most of the people you talk about when you're home, let your studying go hang, and leave him with the general impression that your university career is a sort of combination of college life as he remembers it and College - Life - As-the-Movies-Show-It. Cacti, Horses, Deserts Inspire Spring Colors With spring will comp more proof that Americans haven't, realized the riches of their own land. For years women have turned to Palis for styles, but not this year. Southwestern de3ert shades such as cactus green, Pueblo brown (the color of New Mexi can cliffs), and Palomino beige (named after the horse) will prob ably be leaders in spring colors for milady. Sun clothes and warm sundown tinges make sagebrush green, Arizona pink (dusty pink), fog grey (greenish) grey), and stone blue (greyed blue) spring favorites. As well as the land, the sky, rivers, and ocean are not to be forgotten. Panama, Cuba, and South America add glamorous tropical hues to the new wardrobes with huge prints and novel play clothes. Daffodil and beige yel low are predicted to be popular in sports clothes and filmy eve ing wear. Coing American would not be complete without red, white, and blue, which will be brought out in unusual footwear to bring spark to an ensemble, and to the American street scenes. —By Phyllis Foster. 1 ALL SK3 TOGS REDUCED % OUR ENTIRE STOCK OF HTRSCH-WEIS White Stag Ski Clothes Included • Sugar Bowl Ski Wind Breakers 9 Gabardine Downhill Trousers 9 Plaid Wind Tunics • Trousers • Windbreaker 9 Sweaters J antzen $6.95 and $7.95 SKI SWEATERS to complete your outfit.
