    WE SALUTE
THE PIT
on their
Webfoots, A Sandwich, And The Pit
_________ f
Three years on the Oregon campus, and during those three years
University students have developed the habit of dropping in to the
Pit for one of their barbecued sandwiches.
Mr. C. D. Foster, manager of the Pit, during those three years,
has sold several tons of beef and pork in the form of barbecued sand
wiches. Another feature which has gone over well with Oregon stu
dents has been the Pit’s Boston-baked pork and beans.
Since the Pit stays open ve.ry late in the evening, students have
found it a delightful place to drop in to for that “after the show”
snack.
