Defendant Tichy Wins Moot Case It was a winning case for the defendant, George Tichy, in the year’s second moot trial held last night, with the jury bringing in a 9 to 3 decision in his favor. Moms will continue filing their names this afternoon and tomorrow morning, according to Committeemen Virginia James and Bill Loud. Opening the three-day festivities will be the coronation of Queett Betty Buchanan and her court of four princesses—Laura Jean Maur ice, Eleanor Collier, Janet Foster, and Suzanne Cunningham—at tho campus luncheon this afternoon. The royalty for “Springtime in Vienna" will be escorted to the stage by officers of Scabbard and Blade, military honorary, Chair man Lloyd Sullivan said. Campus luncheon chairmen, Grace Irvin and George MacKm, report that tickets for the cam pus eating derby have been dis tributed to all living organiza tions, and in view of the fact that no meals will be served at the houses, a 100 per cent turnout is anticipated. Skull and Dagger and (Please turn to page three) ■ -“Springtime in Vienna’’ Igloo to Have Blue Danube Atmosphere Junior Prom Will Feature Mitchell's Orchestra Tonight Nervy, but weak-kneed boys, shimmied around on McArthur court’s maze of “cat walks’’ all day yesterday in preparation for tonight’s Junior Prom. The formal prom will begin at 9 o'clock, when Bob Mitchell’s orchestra starts playing for the Junor Weekend sendoff. White coats will be in order for the men, and formals with flowers for the girls, Chairman Wally Rossman said yesterday. For the first time during spring term the dean of women's office has decreed one o’clock permission for dancers. Mitchell’s orchestra features the low voice of Virginia Wheeler, 18-year-old vocalist, whose home is Pendleton, Rossman said. The band has received much atten tion during recent months be cause it includes woodwinds not found in other bands, the dance chairman stated. Anderson, Page, McCliment Win Co-op Positions Vote Battle Writes History; Frosh Total 557; Sophs, 974 Out of one of the heaviest vote barrages in Co-op board election history came majority counts placing Sophomores Jack McCli ment and Emerson Page and Freshman Les Anderson on Ore-* gon's student Co-op store admin-* istrative board for next year. McCliment polled 224 votes and Emerson Page 186. Third high among sophomore candidates foil junior board member was Boh Lovell with 155. Anderson, fresh man class president, edged out Ruth Graham, class secretary, by, a 15-vote margin, totaling to 153.
