New Office to Open tor A VFS Convention Colleges to Send Delegates to UO For Convention Because of the multitude of de tails connected with the AWS west ern section convention, women stu dents are opening an office on the second floor of McArthur court and are employing a paid secretary to handle routine matter of the Conference, announced Anne Fred riksen, western AWS president. The new staff will begin work April 1 and will continue through the convention, Miss Fredriksen said. While the delegates are on the campus, the secretary will also handle the distribution of the visi tors’ mail and the information desk, she explained. Already 22 colleges have paid their representative fees, signify ing their intention of attending the gathering of girls from the 11 western states, stated Donna Ketchum, western AWS treasurer.
