I There comes a time when all good men must pass in review before a greater judge than they. Follow ing this rather widely-accepted theory, Emerald sports reporters have brazenly dared to pass on the merits of the latest crop of intra mural basketball players—and fol lowing are the results: At forward — Willie Reynolds, Theta Chi, and Wimpy Quinn, Beta. Willie played on the devas tating front-line trio which sparked Theta Chi to the intramural pen nant—'nuf said. Quinn, one of two unanimous choices for the squad, was a lead ing scorer and bright-light of the Beta entry. Duds Progressed Center—Taylor, Duds. The Duds made the most progress of any of the nonfraternity entrants. Hodg en's team made the play-offs but fell before ATO in the first round. Guards—Wilson Maynard, Sigma Chi; Bill Scott, ATO. Scot.t was the second unanimous choice for all star honors; plays either forward or guard. His absence from the final game on account of tonsilitis didn't help ATO any. Maynard was selected as the bet ter man of the powerful Sigma Chi five. He also doubles at forward; scored 10 of the Swetheart’s 18 play-off points. Second Choices Second team men included: Forwards—“Whizzer” White and Harrison Bergthodlt, the other two members of the championship for ward wall. Bergtholdt was regu larly a center but was too good to leave out and so was Shipley. Center—Ken Shipley, Phi Delts. Ken is a veteran intramural cam paigners, led his team to a one- j defeat season. Guards — Jack Waits, Sig Ep; Jay Graybeal, ATO. Both these j men are fast on the floor. Waits: stood out on the better-than-aver-! age Sig Ep team. Graybeal had a' habit of serenely dribbling along, suddenly spotting an opening, and darting through for a score. A flip of his legs and he would leave his opponents yards behind. (No; we're not writing football.) Compiled by the same group of sages as that which selected the “A” all-stars the “B” team.) Forwards—Pete Igoe, Phi Delt, and Bob MacDonald, ATO. Igoe has a good shooting eye and man aged to lead the champions’ scor ing in most of the games.
