Coeds Survey Spring Styles Formals to Dominate Calendar Events In Campus, House Dances This Spring; Only Five Informal Dances Scheduled By BETTY JANE BIGGS Father’s pocketbook is going to be stretched a long way when his Oregon offspring arrive home for their spring vacation. Coeds will be asking for a new gown with maximum of skirt and a minimum of bodice and the fellows will be suggesting a “man-to man” talk with the dads about an increase in allowance for all those corsages. For a preview of next term’s social season shows that formals will dominate the calendar events. Fraternities for their spring par lies have slated everything from a stiff-shirt evening to sport break fast dances. Varieties Open Term Other all-campus events already \ scheduled show that in spite of the profusion of formals, spring short silk dresses won't absolutely hang in the closets—not with Alpha Del ta Sigma, men's advertising fra ternity, the Variety Show, the Frosh Glee, and the Sigma Delta Chi, men’s journalism honorary, dances coming up. And then of course, during spring term, there is always the informal tennis court affairs and afternoons on the mill race calling for light sport clothes.
