Fraternity Houses Will Get
Repaint, Repairs as Spring

Spring does not suggest fun and frivolity for the forgotten soul—
the fraternity house manager. While the rest of the house wanders
merrily along the mill race, he, poor soul, must take inventory, and,'
as he sadly inspects each shattered window and ripped rug. surely he i
utters a soft and soothing curse aimed at the souls of fraternity men.
This spring term and summer, as with past spring terms, will see a j
boom in building activity and decorating, as campus living organize-1
tions redecorate ana renovate.
Here's what the men are plan
ning for their houses—
The Delta are rebuilding their
sun porch, repainting the base
ment.
ATOs are remodeling and re
painting their "tub.”
Betas—are tentatively planning
to remodel their entire structure
this summer, with nothing defin
ite planned.
Kappa, Sigs—are planning new
lawn furniture, and are thinking
about new furnishings for the
downstairs.

Phi Delts—are continuing work !
on their den. This summer the
house is to be completely remod
eled.
SAEs—will remodel the upstairs
and downstairs furniture. Also
work will be done on the tennis
court and lawn.
Sammies—are getting new fur
niture for the coming term.
Sigma Nus—have tentative plans
for a new driveway, and a saw
dust burner, as well as a dining
room table.
Theta Chis—are planning new
hallway rugs and will have the
davenport set recovered.
Sigma Chis—will refurnish all
the downstairs floors and will put
in new carpets on the stairways
and downstairs. In the summer
plans are being made for a new
sidewalk around the house, and a
red brick wall and perhaps park
ing space on the back property.
Plans for a new game room in the
basement are also part of the
schedule.
Sig Eps—have their program
definite, but have not released it
as yet.
Pi Kaps—have plans to extend
the rear of the house and the
sleeping porch.
Phi Sigs—will have new furni
ture, a new paint job, new rugs,
and wall paper.
As for the sororities:
Alpha Chis—are to remodel their
entire house this summer, and have
tentative plans for new studio
couches in every room.
Alpha Gams—plan to redecor
ate their game room in the base
ment and paint the walls white,
trimmed in Chinese red enamel.
Alpha Phis—are considering in
stalling new dressers in all the
rooms.
Alpha Xi Deltas—will complete
ly remodel the third floor.

DGs—are getting their smok
ing room redecorated by their
Mothers’ club.
C'hi Omegas—are going to fix
the sidewalks in front of then
house.
Thetas—will work on their rec
reation room.
Kappas - plan some new study
tables.
Gamma Phis—plan a new roof,
new carpets in the hall, and to ren
ovate the dining room.
Tri Delts—are building a new
house on the mill race across from
the Beta house.
Art Teachers Hold
First Faculty Exhibit
Faculty members of the art
school will display their own ar
tistic efforts at an exhibit starting
today in the little gallery of the
school.
This will be the first faculty ex
hibit held in several years.
On exhibition will be represen
tative work from each of the staff
members of the art school, in
cluding painting, sculpture, etch
ing, and other mediums.
j Freshmen to Meet
At Westminster
A strictly freshman meeting
will be held this afternoon at West
minster house. In the form of a
social set-acquainted hour, the
group will gather at 4 o'clock, ac
cording to Mrs. Bryant, hostess.
Games for group enjoyment and
refreshments are the main pto
gram plans. The possibility of a
regular freshman group foA nest
term will be discussed and plans
formulated if such are desirable.
