A. Dahlberg, men's team coach, an nounced last night. Two topics of current interest will divide the team into two sec tions, Dahlberg said. “Propaganda” will be the sub ject taken up by the following team members: Roy Vernstrom, Ken Erickson, George Luoma, Kenny Maher, George Sullivan, Roy Hewitt, Merlin Nelson, Karl Zimmerman, John Blankinship, Paul Kemper, Rendel Alldredge, Delmar Rice, and Don Brinton. “Distribution” is the topic which will be discussed by the rest of the team consisting of: Leon ard Clark, Walker Treece, Charles Devereaux, John Busterud, Jack Martin, Richard Thierroff, Earl Holmer, Don Swink, Allan Toole, Frank McKinney, and Fred Slade. Last year these student speak ers contacted over 100 different civic groups throughout the state. These speech programs will be available to any civic organization, business group, or school. Ar rangements may be made by con tacting Dahlberg through the Uni versity speech division. One of the men’s houses has al ready made plans for the Dads to rehash the Oregon - Washington Saturday night game over a Dutch lunch. Freshmen are also contribut ing a program between bouts. Branton, head of the department of religion, speaking on “My Philosophy of Life.” Elaine Nelson will lead the 6:30 worship service. With Prof. H. G. Barrett of the anthropology department in charge, the 9:45 morning group will be given over to a discussion period. Anne Dean will lead the worship service. Sunday tea hour will be held at 6 o'clock. Student Life Studied Contemporary Italian student life will be discussion topic at the Plymouth club at the Congrega tional church Sunday evening with C. M. Freer, graduate assistant in Romance languages, leading. At the 11 o’clock hour, Rev. Williston Wirt will speak on “What It Means to Have Faith.” Chnmlrers Lends Following up the series of evan gelistic meetings at the Baptist church, Frank Chambers will lead the 6:30 BYPU meeting on “After Evangelism What?” Charles Star ring will appear for the first time as official pianist for the group. Clifford Lewis, evangelist, who has been conducting evangelistic metings at the church, will speak on “The Holy Spirit” at 11 o'clock and on “Life’s Greatest Question” at 7:30. With “The Victorious Life” as his subject, Mr. Lewis will also appear at a special 3 o’clock meet ing. Conference Reported Meeting a half hour later than usual, Wesley club will convene at the 7:30 church hour with Epworth league members joining them in presenting reports of the first state Methodist youth conference held in Salem last week. The weight of the portion already fabricated is 15 tons. The WPA iron craft workers who did the ornamental work on the Timberline lodge are accom plishing the task. The main gate will be flanked by two pedestrian gates. Through these portals will pass all the official guests of U. of O. The Oregon Dads' project will strive to make the visitor’s first j impression of the campus as beau tiful and dignified as the Dads say the gates will be. This avenue through the campus will provide a starting place and goal for student parades, and will be the nucleus of many activities attendant upon University life.
