Broadway and Oak Phone 670 No similar store on the Pacific coast can compare with the new co-op in architectural design or service to students, reports M. F.' McClain, manager. Calendar Given As a means of inducing new stu dents to acquaint themselves with the student co-op, the store has again mailed newcomers a card which when presented at the store entitles the holder to an attractive desk calendar. The calendars are novel in that they start with the month of August, 1939 and run to December, 1940. Since the new store will he much larger than the old co-op, four stu dents will be added to the staff making a total of eight student clerks in addition to the full time employees. Has Mezzanine Ground space of the new co-op measures 50 by 82 feet. The mezza nine floor situated at the rear of the store occupies approximately 2000 square feet of space and is so built as to facilitate the distribu tion of textbooks during the rush periods. When the grounds around the building arc completed, diagonal walks will run from the campus on the south side of the store to the south door of the co-op.
